STUDYING❄️
y'all. its been a month. im back though. lmfao anyways...
im super proud of mysef cause like 2 days ago i spent 2ish hours working on something for school and like didnt get distracted?? what?? anyways i realized some stuff about studying for long periods of time that most people probably dont trust cause everyone says different stuff its fine ok
1. dont have food. eat something before but not during. food will distract you from your task at hand. have a drink. food will also have crumbs so thats another con. just remember to not spill your drink...
2. this is basic i know but pomodoro technique is the most helpful thing ever you have NO idea. i love taking breaks so my brain doesnt tire out, and this helps you stay on task while also not burning out. i usually take around 25 minutes studying and a 5-10 minute break. i even took a whole entire mf shower in the middle.
3. dont use spotify/apple music/youtube music or whatever you use to listen to music. i'll find a youtube video thats like a "study with me" style and just use that. i find that picking music is hard and i get distracted more by the music than the work. if your using a youtube video, then you can't pick and there is no distractions. also no words for music. ever. dont even try.
4. have a clean space. or at least semi-clean. i have tried sitting down and working for a while with a messy desk and it just doesn't work. i keep getting distracted. try to clean your space a little before sitting down so you dont get distracted.
5. ok look. im a huge procrastinator i get it. but dont leave stuff for last minute. i have a project thats due in a week and i'm done with it. i finished it and now i'm not stressed. some days just aren't your day. maybe you aren't feeling well. putting it off until the last day just causes stress on that day. try to start at least a week in advance so you have some time to finish it.
